Iaan and I are very honoured to be featured on Southern Wedding‘s today and that’s why I thought it might be a good idea to finally write a post to all the people who made the day possible.

This blog post is a massive hug, kiss and billboard sized THANK YOU to all the fabulous people who helped out at our wedding and made it an absolute dream come true! All of you have made such a great effort to make it my and iaan’s best day ever and you definitely did it!

Big thanks to Dad for firstly making this possible. Thanks to Mom for not freaking out and helping me stay calm :) Thanks to Lyds (my sister) for being the most beautiful bridesmaid and awesome sister! Thanks for iaan’s parents and sisters for your support and help. Thanks to the ladies in the office, Marine and Adri, you meant the world to me! And still do! Thanks to our friends who helped set up the day before. (A special thanks to Mel, Chris &and little Ray-D for coming down especially for this!) Thanks to all our guests for creating an awesome atmosphere and sharing this day with us. And then of course thank you also for all the amazing gifts. We’re so blessed! PS: your thank you cards are on their way…promise…ok, actually their still laying here and I haven’t had time to write each one a note, so please bear with me…it will come eventually, I promise :)

At first Iaan and I decided not to have a wedding video. To be 100% honest, most wedding videos just doesn’t appeal to me. But then I reconsidered 2 weeks before our wedding. I realised this day was going to be the one day that I don’t want to miss a thing. I want to experience everything! And most of all I want something that can capture the emotion in motion. Photos do capture emotion, but in a totally different way. Photos are static, but the movement of a video is something totally different.

I’ve worked with Frans and Henroux from FJS a few times and I really love love love working with them. They are a great team, super professional and great fun to be around. So I phoned Frans and miraculously they were still available for our wedding…

Iaan and I had a few requirements. We wanted something totally different! Something like a movie. Not necessarily chronological and the main thing was to capture the emotion. I also gave them a big challenge by asking them to shoot their first wedding with SLR digital cameras. I love depth of field and the effect the SLR’s can give you, so they took up the challenge and did this MASTERPIECE!! Seriously a MASTERPIECE!!

(It takes a while to load all the awesomeness…so be patient :)
