I loved André and Louise’s wedding! Despite the fact that it was probably one of the hottest days of the year! They had a wonderful intimate wedding on Morgansvlei, a farm in Tulbagh. Louise is a interior decorator and she did all the co-ordination and stationary designs herself.
I love these photos so much! I shot Anna & Steven’s wedding in January, but some how I forgot to blog them :) I just love the cute and quirkiness of this couple. They were so sweet! Their wedding day was extremely hot and as the venue had very little shaded areas, we decided to use the hotel room for their couple shoot. I just love that mirror!
I love to hear people’s stories. Estee and Jacque has quite a cute one and it goes something like this… Estee came from Namibia to study here in Stellenbosch. Little did she know, this was where she was going to meet the man of her dreams. Estee lived in a girls’ residence and Jacque worked in their catering department. Jacque soon laid eyes on Estee in the food hall. After a few lunches, he apparently stole her phone number from the log book. He then invited her for a drink and the rest is history.
This little girl was definitely not impressed with the camera staring at her. First she stared back and then luckily later on she started smiling :) She’s such a cutie pie!
Today I’m introducing to you my lovely PA Candice and her husband Eugene. These who have been married for a few years, but still so in love! At first this shoot was surpose to be a shoot on the beach. The car was packed with props and ideas and when we arrived at the beach the wind was howling like crazy! So we turned around and came back to Stellenbosch. Even though the beach didn’t work out I’m sooo happy we could still catch the gorgeous sunset light. My absolute favourite to shoot in!
Adel & Ernst live just around the corner from me. Last week they asked me to do a shoot of their family and so we had some fun around their house.
Note to self: When photographing kids, they hardly ever do what you want them to do, so just go with the flow and shoot… :) The natural ones are the best anyway :)
Today I bring to you Anne-Lise & Riaan’s wedding, a very funky couple from Johannesburg :) While chatting to her via email, I realize Anne-Lise is the department head for photography at The Open Window School of Visual Communication in Johannesburg. So now you’re probably thinking what I thought, no pressure!!
Anne-Lise looked like a dream! Her dress and shoes were to die for! And a huge hand of applause for Anne-Lise’s mom for making that absolutely gorgeous dress!
On the 17th of Decemeber I shot Sarah & Johan’s wedding and the morning of the 18th, iaan and I flew to Nelspruit, Mpumalanga to shoot Alta & Christie’s wedding. Christie picked us up at the airport and we drove to Kaapse Hoop, a small village at the top of the mountain, with a very interesting history.
Just by the sounds of her emails I knew she was going to be a sweetheart. And I was right. Lila is a total sweetie! I met Lila and her fiance for their engagement shoot at her parent’s home in De Zalze. We drove around the estate and picked a few fun places to shoot. The couple are both involved with winemaking, so they bought some grapes along for the shoot. I’ve never seen such big bunches in my life!!
Last week Friday Iaan and I hosted our first workshop together. In our relationship Iaan is the information consumer and I’m the practical one. He likes the knowing, I like the doing. And together we make quite a good team :)
The workshop was hosted at our favourite restaurant Coginto in Stellenbosch. The topics covered was about one of the things Iaan and I love: Social Media. I can’t imagine my life without it!
