Emails like this make me smile!

Last night I posted the beautiful Norwegian couple, Lena & Rune’s photos on my blog. Within minutes Lena sent me a email. When I receive emails like this it makes me smile:

Hi Christine,

We’re already getting mails, sms, calls and comments to your photos, and everybody thinks they’re so gorgeous!! Me and Rune are having some bubbly and reminiscing about the wedding day.

You and Michelle were such sweethearts during the whole day, and we’re just so thankful. Can’t believe you guys almost rolled down a hill for us..hehe! Christine, you’re just blessed with an amazing gift, as no one takes photos like you. And in addition, you’re just sooo fun and sweet. I just got a mail from one of my friends who said that your photos are the most beautiful wedding photos she has EVER seen.

Btw, what’s your postal address? I have a small something to send you from Norway.

And she even uploaded the link to the Facebook profile, with some really great words! Thanks Lena!

Letter form Candice & Andrew

I just received this beautiful letter from Candice and Andrew. Their wedding was the 5th of July.
One of my favourite so far! Dearest Christine

Thank-you for our wedding photos! From the moment I started to plan my wedding day I said to everyone involved that the photos were one of my priorities. I have always loved photography and I knew that my wedding photos would have to be excellent. I wanted a memorial of our wedding that would capture every moment and somehow put Andrew and I, who we are, in pictures. I knew you were the person to do this.

I have always known of your talent, creativity and professionalism but having you there with me on the day and receiving the most magnificent photos, I am truly blown away! The quality of your photos, the way you managed everything at the wedding and how you were able to catch every little detail was outstanding. People keep asking us who you are, they were so impressed!

But Christine, more than all of that, we have to thank-you for what a blessing you have been to us. It was a blessing to have you at the wedding and to have you with me the morning I got ready. Thank-you for doing my make-up. It is such an important thing for a bride and you did it so well. You made me feel so beautiful and comfortable. I looked flawless.

I’m really struggling to find enough words to say how much we appreciate your efforts – everything you did was a blessing to us! And the photos are so exquisite; I just look at them all the time. We can’t tell you how much it means to us to have such incredible wedding photos as the physical memory of our most precious day. As Andrew and I grow old together we will always have the joy and pleasure of looking at our wedding photos and being reminded of how beautiful and blessed our day was. Thank-you for capturing our love and personalities and thank-you for putting the beauty of our day on camera.

Our photos are truly, truly BEAUTIFUL! Thank-you Christine.

It’s always great to get emails from former clients. Since the launch of my new website I haven’t posted any emails or thank you’s from clients. I thought I’ll just post a few about what people have said…

Johan and I would like to thank you for the beautiful photos you took on our wedding day. The photos exceeded our highest expectations. Our friends and family are so impressed by the quality and the originality of your work. You were certainly able to catch that “special something”. This is a part of a letter Marnelle sent me to give me permission to enter her photos into the Sarie Bruid competition…

“Christine was vital to the success and the wonderful memories of our wedding. Using diverse styles, settings and angles, we have a broad collection of photos capturing the events in such a way that we can recall small details, emotions, the smells, sounds and the atmosphere.

Christine’s passion and love for people and her work together with her flexible approach resulted in a great experience for everyone involved. The photo session was a lot of fun with ‘soen haar!’ definitely the catchphrase that springs to mind. Christine’s spontaneity and daring to risk her expensive equipment, turned a very strong south easterly wind on a sandy beach in a stunning setting producing magnificent photos.

Through her easy going, though assertive and professional approach, she also established a good working relationship with the videographer, resulting in everyone knowing what is expected and a very relaxed atmosphere for all to have a fantastic time. Her organisation and flexibility let us and the wedding guests to be completely at ease and take pleasure in the experience.

We are still receiving compliments and comments that her photos are the best wedding photos ever seen. It was a privilege to have had this great photographer as part of our wedding and I definitely recommend her not only as the wedding photographer of the year, but of the millennium.
