These photos are part 2 of my recent wedding in Germany. A BIG thank you to Hendrik & Frauke for booking me for their wedding. And for making my dream of shooting international weddings a reality! It was an absolute privilege!
A few weeks ago iaan and I flew over to Münich, Germany to shoot Hendrik & Frauke’s wedding. The spring just arrived and Bavaria was covered in yellow flowers. The grass and trees looked like someone took a green paintbrush in Photoshop and swiped it over all the leaves. It was soooo beautiful!
Before the wedding, iaan and I met Hendrik & Frauke for a beer (becasue that’s how they do it in Germany) As they say, there is a first time for everything :)

The word “Blessed” is an understatement when I think about our trip to Germany. Iaan and I were blessed beyond our dreams! We stay is great hotels, met amazing people, visited interesting places and I got to do an awesome couple shoot and a beautiful wedding!
Today iaan and I spent a few hours in the streets of Munich. In the morning I headed out with Laura Evans to shoot some pics of the surroundings and then later, in the afternoon, I did a couple shoot for Julia & Nikolai. Julia & Nik are one of those super cool, but cute couples. They are simply awesome to spend time with and after only 2 dinners, they already feel like long-time friends of ours.
Last week iaan and I spent 6 days in Berlin City…I love cities!
For the past week iaan and I have been very fortunate to travel through Germany. Over the coming week I’ll be shooting a wedding as well as a couple shoot here in München. But before I post some photos I wanted to share a little experience we had, that was not that fortunate and in plain english simply no fun! On the 18th of May, iaan and I left Cape Town, South Africa for München, Germany
fter almost 24 hours of traveling the last thing I thought I’d do, was to sit in front of my computer and start typing. But I just couldn’t resist. I have been away from home for the past 3 weeks. The reason for my travels was to attend the world’s largest wedding & portrait photography conference & trade show, called WPPI 2010.
Every city I visit, I just have to shoot some black and white photos. I love the simplicity of the lines and the different variety of white, grey and black. Black and white photos are just super awesome!
It’s been almost 2 weeks since iaan and I left South Africa on a 22 hour flight to the USA. Our first city to visit was New York City. It was freezing cold, with an icy wind howling through the streets. I put on my boots, jacket and there we went. We walked and walked and walked, just looking at all the shops and the billboards. We just observed, took in and snapped my camera.
