Daniella contacted me a few weeks ago to shoot their wedding in Plettenberg bay, unfortunately it didn't work out, but when she read about the "trash the dress" session on my price list and she was very interested. They got married on 09/09/09 and then returned to Cape Town, before they return to the UK.

The couple lived in Cape Town for some time and fell in love with it. Doing the shoot in the "signature" areas of Cape Town, such as the colourful houses in the Bo Kaap and Long street was their ideal setting for the photo shoot. Daniella loved the idea of putting on her wedding gown but to trash it was not really the idea :)

Thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to do the shoot for you! I hope these photos will remind you of our beautiful mother city Cape Town! Thank you to Tracy for assisting me!

“There’s a lot more fun to be had with your wedding gown than just wrapping it in tissue paper”

Mitch form I do photography invited me and Du Wayne to join him on a trash the dress session for Santel, who got married a few weeks ago. “Trash the dress” is quite a new concept for most South Africans, but I think it’s brilliant! What is the use of hanging your dress in a cupboard and never wear it again? Why not rather get some great photos in locations you probably wouldn’t go on your wedding day?
