When I woke up on Saturday I was so releaved to see the sun! After al the cold and rainy days I wasn’t sure what Saturday’s weather would turn out like. Luckily Margo & Heunis had a wonderful day of sunshine! I met Margo at Beauclaire guest house, where she got dressed. The ceremony was held at the Moederkerk in Stellenbosch, whereafter the reception was held at Allee Bleue estate.

After the food shots we did a few set ups with off camera flash in their dance area..and this is what I came up with :)

On Tuesday Webersburg was so kind to let us use their venue. We did a few food shots (which was prepared by Webersburg’s chef) The food looked amazing and the venue is really stunning! For those of you out there still deciding where to get married. I would definately recommend this venue!

Christa lived in Taiwan for some time and on their way back, to South Africa one day, she met a group of Spanish men. Very little did she know one of them would be the love of her life, Julian Arriaga Mendoza.

Lucy was so excited for the shoot, it even excited me :) Their house was spectacular! It is an old farm house and they are renovating it as time goes by. What a pleasure to use for photographs! There were so many props to work with that I took about 900 images! I hardly ever take more than 250 and then normally narrow it down to the best 60 – 80, but Lucy will have at least 150 – 200 stunning ones to choose from!

When I do family shoots or shoots of children I always go to the people’s house. I find it works much better, especially because the kids are much more relaxed in their own environment. For a photographer it’s also much more interesting than a studio, because each house is different and you have to be creative with what you have available.

I had the privelage of shooting a shoot with Jules Morgan last week. It was great fun! We played around allot and I’m so excited about these shots!

My boyfriend iaan started training kickboxing 12 years ago. He is not actively fighting anymore, but is training at home in his free time.

I’ve never done a shoot with dogs before, but I had a client that wanted some portraits taken of her 2 dogs…and these were my favourite…

Tom is a little guy I’ve photographed before and so I’ve had the privilege to photograph him again…I absolutely loved the curly hair!!! He was quite busy and ran around allot and so I gave him a book to read and it was so cute while “reading” it :)
