So this time it was my turn to be in front of the camera…And now I understand what all my clients must feel like when I come up right in their faces with my 50mm :) But it’s always worth it!

Estelle and Pieter’s wedding just had that extra little bit of “specialness”! It was a farm wedding, in style!
Louise and Arthur has had the most amazing holiday the past 2 months, something I would love to do! They have been traveling the world! And a part of their travels was to get married on the beach in Cape Town, South Africa. A true destination wedding! And what better place than beautiful Oudekraal beach just past Camps bay. Louise and Arthur are from Australia and they said that Cape Town by far was the most beautiful of all the places they saw the past few months! I aggree!
Who would have thought the 26th of September would be a rainy day in Cape Town? I don’t think anyone did, but it sure was! I was however very very lucky, I had a morning wedding that day.
Ross arrived with his helicopter a few hours before the wedding, as the weather was turning dark and grey. I was just in time to catch the landing!
The team at Charly’s Bakery was so kind so sponsor my workshop with a beautiful wedding cake. The cake was suppose to be photographed, blogged about and at the end I was going to supply them with some fab photos of the wedding cake. But unfortunately the cake never made it to my house, as the driver had to make an emergency brake and there tha cake flew all over the car…so then I offered to do another shoot for Charly’s. As they say all things happen for a reason and so I ended up being Charly’s official photographer for the Loerie Awards this year!
The Loerie Awards is the most prestigious advertising awards in South Africa. The Loerie Awards recognize and reward creative excellence.
Elsa and Albie have been together for quite some time, but never have they been together for more than a week. Albie works in Polokwane and up and till the wedding Elsa was located in the Western Cape. It was a long distance relationship, but on the 19th of September all of this changed!

When I met Monica for the first time I instantly knew this relationship was going to become a friendship! Monica is one of the most down to earth an friendly photographers I know in the industry!
While I was waiting for Daniella and Steward to get ready I took a few cute shots of Daniella’s niece. She’s adorable!
Daniella contacted me a few weeks ago to shoot their wedding in Plettenberg bay, unfortunately it didn’t work out, but when she read about the “trash the dress” session on my price list and she was very interested. They got married on 09/09/09 and then returned to Cape Town, before they return to the UK.
The couple lived in Cape Town for some time and fell in love with it. Doing the shoot in the “signature” areas of Cape Town, such as the colourful houses in the Bo Kaap and Long street was their ideal setting for the photo shoot. Daniella loved the idea of putting on her wedding gown but to trash it was not really the idea :)
