Mari booked me for an engagement session in Camps Bay, but little did I know the Top Billing crew would be join us on the shoot. Their engagement session was on the Thursday and the following Saturday was their wedding, which will to be featured on Top Billing soon.
Hayley saw quite nervous before the wedding and took a peek out of the window a few minutes before she walked down the isle. She seemed very surprised to see all the guests and without realizing said: “Look at all the people!” I reminded her, that “there was going to be people at her wedding. It is your wedding after all!” And then we all had a laugh.
The latest Konfetti magazine was made live today and one of my photos was chosen for the cover! Erla from Konfetti emailed me a few weeks ago asking for photos of a colourful wedding. I knew that Adel & Juan’s wedding would be the perfect one!
Candace & Nic had an outdoor wedding at the Nooitgedacht Estate in Stellenbosch on the 15th of February. Candace arrived at the ceremony on a carriage, which she told me is something she’d always wanted to do. This couple were one of those couples who just enjoyed every moment and nothing could upset them!
At the end of last year my friend Jean Pierre Uys asked me to help him out and be a second photographer at Dee and Alex’s wedding. Jean Pierre covered the main parts of the wedding, such as the bride getting ready, couple shots, ceremony etc, while I covered the reception area’s decor as well as the guest, drinks and canapés. I looooved this job, because I’m actually totally in love with decor shots.
I’ve never done a wedding at the Vineyard Hotel before, so I was really excited about photographing this one. The Vineyard is in Newlands, Cape Town and has the most magnificent gardens and restaurants. I arrived at the reception venue and it looked like something out of an english wedding magazine!
René & Lee tied the knot on the 7th of February. When René came to meet me the week before I couldn’t believe how blue her eyes were and I immediately became excited to photograph their wedding. The wedding took place on Zevenwacht under a free form tent overlooking the dam. I was so excited when I arrived there and saw the overcast weather. My favourite!
I arrived at Ongegund and it was boiling hot! Tarra wasn’t sure weather she should keep the ceremony outside or wheather they should rather move it into one of the venue halls. But at the end she decided to keep it outside. It was a sunny day and the view was beautiful!…little did we know Tarra was going to faint through the ceremony! Luckily she was ok after a bit of sugar water :)
Danielle emailed me some time ago to get a wedding package quote, but soon after she discovered my family photos. Her sister (Ronette) and her niece (Liza) was over in South Africa and it was the perfect time to get some photos of their mom and the girls.
Corne & Buddy celebrated their wedding on Beyerskloof wine estate on the 31st of January. Corne’s mom Esme has a very good eye for detail and she made all the decorations for the day. The theme for the wedding was very fresh and colorful.
