Frieda and JJ booked me for their 10 year anniversary. Frieda specifically asked me to do the shoot in April, hoping that the trees would have turned into all the autumn colours, but unfortunately it was not exactly the case. Despite this we got some beautiful shots in the vineyard and surroundings.
The week before Fiona and Adam’s wedding, I did an engagement session for them. An engagement session is very relaxed way to get use to the camera, as well as to get to know your photographer and the way he/she works.
Mari booked me for an engagement session in Camps Bay, but little did I know the Top Billing crew would be join us on the shoot. Their engagement session was on the Thursday and the following Saturday was their wedding, which will to be featured on Top Billing soon.
Anel and Tienie are engaged to be married on in February next year. They both live in the UK, but surprised their families with a 9 day visit last week. Anel and Tienie share their love for photos, nature, music and the countryside. I tried to incorporate all of these things into their engagement session…
Laura is originally form the USA, but she’s been living in Cape Town for the past few years. Ross proposed to her and gave her a vintage Vespa that was fully restored. For their engagement session we used the Vespa as a prop.
After the food shots we did a few set ups with off camera flash in their dance area..and this is what I came up with :)
Leanie and Niël booked me for their wedding the 10th of January 2009 in Paarl. They are currently living in London and asked me to do an engagement session with them in the streets. I was totally up for it!
Today I had the best couple shoot ever! Du Wayne is a photographer I met a few months ago and today I had the privilege of shooting him and his wife, Zani in the streets of Stellenbosch. I wanted to do something a bit more urban and rustic than vineyards and gardens and I think the results are great.
