ometimes I wish I could just press the pause button. Look around, see the world standing still and then I will have enough time to do everything I have to and want to do. If I have to explain the past few months in words, it would include: crazy, awesome, exciting, wonderful, out of the ordinary and a total roll a coaster ride!
Sweden was never on my lists to visit. I never thought of going that north, but when things changed. Cissy and Andy booked me for their wedding in Uppsala, a small town close to Stockholm, Sweden. On the one side I was a bit nervous, because I had no idea what to expect. I wasn’t sure what a traditional Swedish wedding was like and my other concern was the language. What if I didn’t understand the guests? But on the other hand, I was super excited to see a place I knew nothing about.
The past few weeks have been an absolute journey! And all started with shooting a wedding in Sweden.
The day before the wedding, the couple invited me to join them, with all their guests, for a pre-dinner party at Cissy’s parents’ home in Uppsala. We enjoyed yummy Swedish meatballs and some other Swedish snacks while all [...]
I just created my online portfolio…have a look under the home page > Portfolio.
I just made the first add for The Pretty Blog, using some of my most favourite shots! I just had to share it :)
I love change, new things and taking risks. But when I say I love risks, I mean business risks, new ideas and just jumping in to see if it works. Not jumping off a bridge or racing down a mountain with a bike, no that is iaan! not me :)
Today I don’t feel like using words, only pictures… enjoy.
Love from Stockholm.
For the past few days I’ve been in London. Lodon has a great vibe and seeing that it’s summer here, people are out on the streets. The pubs are full, all the little restaurants have tables outside and people are enjoying the sun. I on the other hand still have my jersey with me, because in my opinion this is not real summer :) But it’s still fun to be outside.
Some of you might remember the free wedding give away I had. Well, here it is. Petra & Barri got married in the Kalahari desert. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen!
Petra and Barri told me about their wedding and their farm and what it was going to look like, but never did I imagine such an amazing experience!
I’m not sure if the word “wash” was suppose to look like that or whether the artist just didn’t get to finishing it, but what I do know is that they got to finish the AYOBA part and that’s what this post is all about. AYOBA..now I know everyone in South Africa has heard the word. Have come to know the meaning and for some of us, it has become a part of our vocab. (Just to help those of you who don’t know how to pronounce it…it’s something like “A-YOOOO-BA! A nice long YOOO and you have to say it with attitude!)
