Earlier this year I had a cancelation for a wedding that would have taken place on the 27th of February. Almarie phoned me just a week after and they were looking for a photographer for the 27th…What a coincidence!

As I mentioned in the post below I do get quite allot of emails where photographers ask me how I edit my images. I don’t see myself as a photographer that over edits my images. I only like to ad a bit of punch to them. When they come straight out of the camera the colour seem to be a bit dull and I like my images to have a touch of SUPER WHITE and some pitch black. I posted these images yesterday and I’d like to show you what a little of editing can do. And by the way, I do 99% of my editing in Adobe Lighroom. I hardly ever go to Photoshop.

This morning I woke up with an idea. It’s not really a new idea, but I wanted to run it by the photographers that read my blog and firstly test the waters before I go ahead with it.

The past few months I’ve been receiving quite allot of emails asking me about how I edit, shoot etc. So now I’m thinking of having my first workshop! How exciting! I’ve learned so much in the industry and would love to share it withyou guys!

I love it when a couple tells me to do whatever I want on their wedding day. It takes off so much stress, because you know they trust you 100%! This shoot was probably one of my favourites so far.

Michelle & Anwar have been living in the Uk for the past few years, however when it came to orginizing their big day, they knew it had to be back home. They got married in a beautiful stone church in Constantia and the reception was held at Simon’s at Groot Constantia.

Mari booked me for an engagement session in Camps Bay, but little did I know the Top Billing crew would be join us on the shoot. Their engagement session was on the Thursday and the following Saturday was their wedding, which will to be featured on Top Billing soon.

Today is my 25th Birthday and I decide to share 25 random things about me that you probably don’t know.

Hayley saw quite nervous before the wedding and took a peek out of the window a few minutes before she walked down the isle. She seemed very surprised to see all the guests and without realizing said: “Look at all the people!” I reminded her, that “there was going to be people at her wedding. It is your wedding after all!” And then we all had a laugh.

The latest Konfetti magazine was made live today and one of my photos was chosen for the cover! Erla from Konfetti emailed me a few weeks ago asking for photos of a colourful wedding. I knew that Adel & Juan’s wedding would be the perfect one!

I recently saw this clip by Zack Arias on Jean Pierre’s blog and I had to re-post it. This clip is a must see for any photographer! It speaks about the mind of the photographer. It might sound a bit depressing in the beginning, but listen to the whole thing. It’s actually very encouraging…
