Yesterday I received this letter from Jean, Cari’s mom. I was speechless, not to mention that I literally had a tear in my eye! I asked Jean’s permission to post this letter, because through her words I realized how special it must be to give your daughter away in marriage, but also how important the photos are to tell the story after the day has past.
Thank you Jean for taking the time to write me this email! I can’t explain to you how much it means to me! You definitely made my day!
While editing Llewellyn and Getha’s wedding I found a few fun shots of us behind the scenes. Having Henry there made everything so much more relaxed and during all the events he managed to capture some cool moments.
Today is Christmas! One of my favourite days of the year! I hope you have a wonderful blessed time with your friends and family. Have a wonderful time! x
A few months ago I read about the Help Portrait initiative and it immediately touched me. Help portrait is an international community of photographers that give up one day to give back to the community.
This morning I walked into the office and her Adri sat with a set of reindeer horns on her head. The past week so many happy things have happend and it already feels like Christmas! I received an email from a girl from NY yesterday and she said it was snowing. In the meanwhile Stellenbosch is boiling :)
Yesterday Iaan, I, Adri and Lizelle randomly decided to take a drive to Somerset West and go for sushi. On our way there we were talking about running your own business and having your “own time” but also the hard hours that go into editing and admin in the early hours of the morning.
The past few weeks has been the worst weather Cape Town has probably ever experienced! From gail force winds that was reported as a Hurricane to the boiling heat of today. It rained for a whole week, so much so that I had to pull out my coats and boots! And it’s November, it’s surpose to be summer!
These shoes excited me so much they are getting a special little post all for themselves! Lisa’s wedding shoes were my first Jimmy Choo shoe shots!
Perfect light, loving couple, beautiful bride, great guests and a super stunning setting are the words that come to mind then I think of Lisa and Richard’s wedding at Vreden Lust.
I recently decided to create a Facebook fan page to keep you updated! You’re more than welcome to use this page to ask me questions about anything.
