If you haven’t heard the news yet…Iaan and I got engaged yesterday!!!!! (I’m very tempted to add more exclamation marks :) Wow, so much happend in the past 24 hours…crazy would be an understatement. But I’m sure all the girls are dieing to hear the story, so here it goes:
Iaan and I have been together for 8 years. We started dating at school and we’ve had fun ever since! We are sooo the same, and then on the other hand sooo different. I love spending time with him and from the start I knew he was the one!

The word “Blessed” is an understatement when I think about our trip to Germany. Iaan and I were blessed beyond our dreams! We stay is great hotels, met amazing people, visited interesting places and I got to do an awesome couple shoot and a beautiful wedding!
Today iaan and I spent a few hours in the streets of Munich. In the morning I headed out with Laura Evans to shoot some pics of the surroundings and then later, in the afternoon, I did a couple shoot for Julia & Nikolai. Julia & Nik are one of those super cool, but cute couples. They are simply awesome to spend time with and after only 2 dinners, they already feel like long-time friends of ours.
Last week iaan and I spent 6 days in Berlin City…I love cities!
For the past week iaan and I have been very fortunate to travel through Germany. Over the coming week I’ll be shooting a wedding as well as a couple shoot here in München. But before I post some photos I wanted to share a little experience we had, that was not that fortunate and in plain english simply no fun! Whenever iaan and I want to go out for dinner the first place that come to our mind is Cognito Restaurant7 in Stellenbosch. It’s by far the best combination of good food, great service and a lovely atmosphere.
One of the owners, Diani had a little girl a few months ago and so I had the privilege to photograph her. Isn’t she just totally adorable!!
Anna & Dirk celebrated their wedding with friend and family from all around the world on the stunning Grand Provence Estate in Franschhoek.
I could probably tell you their proposal story, but how much better can you get than the bride telling you the story herself :)
Janette & Patrick live in Johannesburg, but Janette decided to spoil her husband with a weekend down in the Cape to celebrated their 20 year anniversary. Congratulation on a wonderful milestone guys! May there be many more! x
