Hermien and Gerhard both live in Johannesburg and we only met 2 days before the wedding. The couple had a beautiful ceremony in the lavender fields of Allee Bleue.
A while ago I was searching the web and I stumbled onto a new online wedding magazine called Konfetti. The second issue has just been published and it’s a great tool for brides to be! It is filled with great ideas as well as lots of photos!
Konfetti is a great new way to get ideas for your wedding and have a peek at other brides’ wedding albums and the best part is: it’s all online and all for free. The December issue is out now and has everything, from the invites to the dress, plus two great giveaways. One of which is a R2 500 engagement shoot with me. So hurry to get those entries in!
I just finished Thea and Garth’s photos and it’s on it’s way to Durban with DHL. But as I went thought the photos I just loved this one…I played around with editing and ended up using the “old school” action form The Rad Actions.
I spoiled myself with a big gift yesterday…or actually, I’ve been waiting for it for almost 2 years now…and it finally arrived…the hottest thing ever! (besides my camera of course!)
It was time for my upgrade and I couldn’t resist! Now I can email, tweet, facebook, upload photos, update my blog and almost every thing else anytime, [...]
A perfect recipe for an amazing wedding! A beautiful bride, a fun groom & a stunning setting! I’ve never been to Arinston before, but I was stunned.. It’s beautiful!! I was even so lucky to have a overcast day, which gave very soft light on the sand dunes.
I think this image deserves a blog post…It’s one of my favourites from Sophie and Justin’s wedding..more to come in a few minutes…but I wanted to post this one individually. I believe it’s one of my favourite so far!
For the past few weeks I’ve been reading the five love languages by Gary Chapman. To be honest the cover wasn’t very attractive to me. It looked like a real soppy book, but now I can really recommend it! It’s a must read for everyone! Guys and girls…especially if you are in a relationship.
The book talks about the 5 different [...]
When he’s around all she can do is smile! I’m so glad Ryan Graham referred Natalie to me. If was so strange, I actually have been booked up for November since March, but a month or two ago I got a cancelation for the 15th and just after that Natalie contacted me for her own wedding.
I did a wedding in a very dark venue on saturday. I wouldn’t have been able to do good shots without my new extra Canon 580Ex Mark2 speed light. (I was actually stunned to think that I never really used more then 1 flash before!!)
I used this flash for extra lighting in the venue. Here [...]
A few weeks ago I went to Durban for my friend Thea’s wedding. On the flight back to Cape Town I read an article in the paper about Brett Florens, a wedding photographer that has recently been named as one of the world’s best wedding photographers. He’s also been featured in the Rangefinder magazine, which is a great honor! On his site you’ll see that he’s selling a “Behind the lens” dvd. I ordered myself one and it arrived in the post today! I love to learn form other photographers and I’m so excited to watch it.
