A perfect recipe for an amazing wedding! A beautiful bride, a fun groom & a stunning setting! I’ve never been to Arinston before, but I was stunned.. It’s beautiful!! I was even so lucky to have a overcast day, which gave very soft light on the sand dunes.
I think this image deserves a blog post…It’s one of my favourites from Sophie and Justin’s wedding..more to come in a few minutes…but I wanted to post this one individually. I believe it’s one of my favourite so far!
For the past few weeks I’ve been reading the five love languages by Gary Chapman. To be honest the cover wasn’t very attractive to me. It looked like a real soppy book, but now I can really recommend it! It’s a must read for everyone! Guys and girls…especially if you are in a relationship.
The book talks about the 5 different [...]
When he’s around all she can do is smile! I’m so glad Ryan Graham referred Natalie to me. If was so strange, I actually have been booked up for November since March, but a month or two ago I got a cancelation for the 15th and just after that Natalie contacted me for her own wedding.

A few weeks ago I went to Durban for my friend Thea’s wedding. On the flight back to Cape Town I read an article in the paper about Brett Florens, a wedding photographer that has recently been named as one of the world’s best wedding photographers. He’s also been featured in the Rangefinder magazine, which is a great honor! On his site you’ll see that he’s selling a “Behind the lens” dvd. I ordered myself one and it arrived in the post today! I love to learn form other photographers and I’m so excited to watch it.
“There’s a lot more fun to be had with your wedding gown than just wrapping it in tissue paper”
I’m so stocked! My blog is rated as 82th in the country by the amount of reads! I actually just realized again how much you can achieve only through having a good, active and informative blog! I started blogging in 2007, but only actively since I have my new website (May 2008). My website stats have gone up from 200 visits per month before May 2008 to average 2000 visits per month, of which 1000 is unique visitors every month!
I photographed Lise and Cara about a year ago. I couldn’t believe how they have grown! These two little ones are just to cute!!!
I just want to show you what is possible if you combine a texture and a photo in Photoshop…textures like the one I used is widely available online.
Tutorial available below.
Firstly I made my photo black and white. To make a good black and white photo, I suggest NOT just simply making the photo grayscale. To grayscale an image makes it [...]
