If you want to hear me speak my very best Afrikaans, you have to tune into KykNet tonight on Channel 111 at 21:30. I will be on the debut episode of the new TV show Bruilof, a show dedicated to the wedding industry and a great resource for all the brides out there. De Wet Van Rooyen from Mandelbrot Studios came up with the concept of having a wedding related lifestyle show, where the presenter interviews different service providers in the wedding industry. De Wet and the Mandelbrot team has been working on this for months and I’m so excited to see their amazing product come to life on national TV tonight!

I have to admit this was not the easiest job, but it was fun none the less. Being in front of the camera is not the most natural thing for me, but yeh, it’s always good to push your boundaries. The most difficult for me, was to speak in 100% pure Afrikaans. Since I started my business I write, talk and do so many things in English, I sometimes struggle to find that ‘perfect’ Afrikaans word to describe something. Unfortunately I’ve become a bit of a ‘mixer’ when it comes to language! Not a good thing, I know! But with the help of De Wet and the production team, I’ve manage to express myself in the most beautiful Afrikaans. Even my Afrikaans teacher would be proud! ;)
