When Sean and Poppy booked me for their wedding in Mozambique, I realized the dates were very close to iaan’s birthday. I love birthdays. Birthdays should be special. It should be huge. It’s a reason to throw a party. It’s a reason to book time off. And there should be gifts. Never forget the gifts. :) Ok, before I get carried away (or maybe I just did)… what I’m trying to say is, we decided to stay at Indigo Bay for an extra three days, to relax, celebrate the fact that we were on an island and to enjoy iaan’s birthday.
Indigo Bay was an awesome place to stay. The staff were friendly, the food yummy and the cocktails delicious! And there was sun, all the time! It’s probably no surprise, but my favourite day was iaan’s birthday. We booked a trip to Paradise Island, 30 minutes away from Bazaruto. Paradise Island, is the Island where they filmed one of the Survivor SA series. On our way there, we stopped for some snorkeling so see Nemo and his friends.
On the island, we were welcomed by a team of guys and a delicious fish barbecue on the beach. It was amazing. A day I will never forget!
