Bonnievale Weekend | Amanzi Cottages

Our friends, Kim and David, got married in Bonnievale a few weeks ago. A quaint, little countryside town about two hours from where we live. This time I was a guest and I planned the weekend away, as ‘a photo free weekend’ with friends and just chilling out on the farm. But as you probably guessed, I did pack my camera (as I’ve learned before, it’s the time that you don’t have your camera with you, that you wish you had it). As we arrived on the farm of Amanzi cottages, I dropped the guys at the cottage and then Marlize and I went to take some photos of all the ‘awesomeness’ we passed on your way into the farm. I just had to get photos of those donkeys, pumpkins and sheep.

My dad grew up on a farm and when I was small, we use to visit my grandparents on their farm with all the animals, fruit trees and wheat fields. I think secretly inside me, I would love to have a farm as a studio, just to get those natural raw photos of that happens on a farm. To me it’s very real.

The owner of Amanzi cottages came out with their dog, watching this crazy city girl photographing his yard. Well, as crazy as that sounds, I love the pics and these are great memories of a off weekend and a huge celebration of our friend’s wedding.

And Mr Donkey as ready for his portrait. Seriously slick! Love it!

Love the pictures!! Please would you let us have one or two for our story? We are happy to put your name to them? OR do you want us to pay something? We love the one with the pumpkin and the donkey and the cows …. !!

Beautiful! I think that photographers have that extra ability to appreciate the finer beauty of the world -more than the rest of us!
