I know I’m not the only one that gets a bit overwhelmed with everyday tasks. I love my job, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes I just feel like I just can’t keep up. I’m actually really hard on myself (which is a good thing in my opinion), because I believe customer service is everything. And if I could, I’d give my clients their photos the day after the shoot. But that’s not always possible. And with the break in, I really fell behind. But I’m almost up to date. So there is light at the end of the tunnel. :)
Yesterday I had a really bad day. Yes I have them too. It felt like the whole world was against me. The internet was working on everyone else’s computers, except mine. Seriously!! Then I tried to make my PayPal accounts work and it took me 4 hours to sort out all the admin etc. Long story. Anyway. Then I got up and made some coffee. I couldn’t help but feel everything was against me. With a sigh, I mentioned it to Raynie (The awesome guy that helps Iaan with all the KIKI stuff). He then looked at me and said. It just feels that way. But it’s not true. That’s what the world wants you to think. Because when you think that way, it’s over. So then I thought about it, indulged into some left over birthday cake ;) and imagined that everything was ok. And then it was. Because then this email arrived in my inbox and it changed everything.
Thanks Karin. These are always welcome! I don’t think you understand how much this meant to me. x
Hi Christine and Candice
I just want to say THANK YOU both for everything since my initital email back in Jan 2011.
Candice, Thank You for being so super arranging everything, especially when I was not able to respond timeously and your patience with me during those times. Thank You also for the reminders along the way! Christine, you are fortunate to have such an awesome PA!
Christine, Thank You for being so accomodating to my initial change of date request. Thank You for being so amazing during the shoot, to relax Lizl and Iso that we had such a wonderful and fun time! Thank You for the absolutely amazing shots, that Lizl and I love so much! As we told you, we are super close and have a really amazing bond that we treasure. To have these beautiful images that you created of us, means the world to us. Images that we can treasure, that reflects the love we share, it just brought tears to my eyes when I first looked at them!
I received my package on Thursday and felt like a kid at Christmas time unwrapping my gift. Once again it made me smile from ear to ear, to see all the other images and just loved the processing on them all! The album is beautifully put together, a big thank you for that!
I sent my first set of some of the images to Orms this morning for printing and very excited to go pick them up this afternoon. They are prints for our family, which I know they will treasure, as they are always complaining that there are hardly ever photos of me.
Now we just need to decide on one image for our canvas and what a difficult decision that is going to be!
So thank you to you both for everything that you have done to enable Lizl and I to get such fantastic images that we are both so very happy with!! In fact there are not enough words to express our gratitude for the awesome job that you did! It just makes my heart all fuzzy and warm when I think about the images that I can now frame and place in our home!!
Regards
Karin & Lizl

I know exactly how you feel Christine. And it is the awesomest thing to receive an email like this, it makes all the hard times worth it. Hope the rest of your year is going to be a lot easier!
These are the clients we all love and treasure! A simple thank you is such an easy thing to say, yet it has such a massive positive effect on the receiver – I wish more people would realise that.
I hope you take all of that on board and don’t forget it ! You are the only person ( that I know of ) in this industry that continuously gives back, shares and inspires as often and as selflessly as you do !!!
Thanks GD!! *blush blush*
Hi Christine, you are such an amazing photographer and person! Thanks for sharing your life on your blog and being so honest. You and Ian are an inspiring couple. If you ever want to come to NZ or Australia and host a workshop etc. I will definitely help you make it happen!
Love, Kate xx
