Lila & Johan’s wedding is one I’ve been looking forward to, the whole season. I met the couple a few months ago, when they told me about their big day. They explained to me that their wedding was going to take place on Johan’s family farm in Riekeek Kasteel and the details was going to be a combination of warm colours (as we approached winter in May). Within the decor was going to be some fruit from their farm, namely Pomegranates, pears & grapes. Now that sounded deliciously gorgeous to me :)

On the morning of the 28th of May, I was on my way to Lila and Johan’s wedding. The wind was strong, the clouds dark and the rain started drizzling down. I was a bit worried and started thinking of alternative places to shoot their wedding photos, as the outdoor might not have been possible. I know Riebeek Kasteel has some gorgeous little houses with big patios. I drove thought the town on my way to the venue and spotted the perfect place! A big yellow house with blue doors and windows. But lucky for us, the weather cleared up just for the hour or two between the ceremony and reception! :)

The reception was a fun filled evening with a gorgeous farm-style buffet dinner.
