This morning I met up with a bride in London. We chatted about her wedding day and then I realised everything she was asking me about, every little detail she was stressing about and every single thing she was thinking about, was because she wanted it to be perfect, the way she’s always dreamt of.
I have a little confession to make: while organising my own wedding, I’ve realised that there is a little girl inside of me. One that wants to laugh, dance and have fun. One that wants to dream, wants to sing (even though it’s only any good in the shower :) and one that wants to dance with no worries in the world. No worries about work or grown-up stuff, just someone that wants to play and have a cupcake!
Sounds silly, I know. But while you are organising your wedding I want to encourage you to take time for yourself to dream. This planning happens really fast and decisions have to be made…but take time and make sure it’s the way you and your fiancé want it to be.
A part of the reason I chose a fun theme (more on that on The Pretty Blog) for my wedding, is because I want to experience that little bit of prettiness and being a princess in my own magical world :)
I came across this video of Richelle Dante Photography and it was like a movie of what’s been going through my mind during the past few weeks…I’ll probably always have a bit of “little girl” inside of me :)

What a great post. I enjoyed the video as well. I think it is key for people to just enjoy their wedding day, you can plan as much as you like but come the day, just enjoy it, it will only happen once and the last thing you want is to be chasing up everything seeing that it goes to plan. Just enjoy.
