I saw Situ’s rings at the Design Indaba conference about 4 years ago and I knew this was what I would love for my engagement ring one day. Iaan also knew, but wasn’t 100% sure if I still wanted it, so he decided to ask me with another ring instead and then get the exact design after the engagement. I was very happy about his decision, because 1. Our engagement was a total surprise for me and 2. I could design my own ring. Make sure the shape was perfect, the colour was right and most important that the ring fit me :)
I was very lucky to inherit a beautiful classical ring from my grandmother, so for my engagement I wanted something totally different. Clean lines & quite contemporary. Now I can swop between the two :) Lucky me!
I received my ring the day before I left for London and now I’m still getting use to the fact that I’m wearing a diamond! But that sparkles make me smile every time I look at it :)

Sjoe, dis baie mooi en heeltemal iets anders. Ja, dis ‘n fantastiese gevoel as die ring nog nuut aan jou vinger is. Ek kon aan die begin net nie ophou staar daarna nie, selfs terwyl ek bestuur het, het ek my ring bekyk. Het ‘n paar noue ontkominge op die pad gehad. Lol. Is al amper ‘n jaar getroud, en staar nogsteeds. Geniet dit Christine!!
