This weekend was quite unusual. I attended a wedding, but as a guest!  I didn’t shoot a wedding on Saturday. I collected my dad from the airport (my parents are now both back permanently! yeh!) and then I enjoyed a real home cooked meal for Sunday lunch! Wow, unusual, but great!

I found these shots on my mac and thought I’d post them as they remind me of something totally different than weddings, my job or any thing work related. It reminds me of my mom. One of the closest people to my heart. She is fabulous, the best cook, she has the kindest heart and she just wants to make the world a better place for everyone. Someone I really missed the past 4 years. When I asked my mom what she would like for Christmas last year, she said she wanted me to shoot some arty shots around Stellenbosch for her house when she moves back. One afternoon I drove up to Helshoogte, here in Stellenbosch and I did some photos of the sunset and the light that fell on the vineyards and other plants. This is something different from what you would normally see on my blog, but I really like them and can’t wait for my mom to do some prints for the house.
