Louise and Roland live in Switzerland, but decided to tie the knot over here in South Africa at Diemersfontein Estate in Wellington. They had a very small intimate wedding with some family and friends on the lawn. That day was so boiling hot, that we actually decided to move the ceremony 30 minutes later than originally planned. Louise looked so beautiful and made me think of the late princess Diana.

FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS:

In general I only use LR to edit my photos, but with this shoot I decided to test some of the totally rad actions that I bought some time ago. If you like using actions, you should check out this site. These actions are definitely some of the best out there. But remember that they are made to work on jpg files, not RAW, so you first need to do your basic editing (light corrections etc in LR/Photoshop),export the file in jpg and then you use the action. The action can then be altered by changing the intensity, opacity or layer options. Have a look at their tutorial videos for instructions. They also have a “recipe” site with some killer samples of before and afters. Worth a look…

My favourite actions:

  • Grandma’s tap shoes
  • Pool party
  • Punch out
  • Boutwell magic glasses
  • Old school
  • slice like a ninja (sharpening)
  • Better web sharpen (for web sharpening)

Absolutely beautiful Christine. I love the second last pic of them in the field, with a “hazy” background. The “glare”/reflection of the sun is just beautiful in the others as well. Well done :)
