Hey Christine! Awesome photos as always. I also want to start experimenting with off camera flash at my next wedding using the 7D (cause then you don’t even need the PocketWizard :) I think I’ll only use it to get really dramatic low light photos and definitely at the reception. Those dance photos are superb! Thanx for being a great inspiration!

Another beautiful set of images, well done!

I like the use of both flash and natural light and it really looks nice if one gets the balance right. I can see how the flash allowed you to pull back the details in the sky and I think that looks good! What I like about flash is the control it gives me, especially when I shoot full manual. I can light the image on different planes and which makes things very interesting.

Personally I much prefer the look of natural lighting when it’s possible. Overuse of flash in daytime always looks so faked to me. Having said that, I can’t tell for sure which photos you used it on, so I think you did it right! As long as it’s not painfully obvious it’s all right with me. :-)

Hi Christene, ek hou meer van die “natuurlike” beligitng. Dit was dit wat my aanvanklik van jou fotos laat hou het… die off camera flash laat dit baie “fashion like” lyk.
