There is probably no bigger blessing a photographer can ask for on a wedding day than perfect light and a couple that is highly in love. Tuesday I did a wedding shoot at the Shore House in a private Nature Reserve called Jakkalsfontein on the West Coast. NEVER EVER have I seen anything like the sky that day. It was absolutely perfect. No wind, some sunlight during the ceremony and then just towards the end of the shoot small clouds formed in the sky. They looked like little bunches of candy floss. Seriously, it was perfect!

Apart from the gorgeous surroundings I had the privilege to photograph the most loving and friendly couple. I met Moritz a few minutes after I arrived at the house. He told me that he was an art director (nervously I smiled!) at a advertising agency in Berlin, Germany and that this was their first time in South Africa. The decided to get married here and then to combine it with a trip around the country.

Antje and Moritz are so in love and everything they did was just BEAUTIFUL! Thanks SO much for choosing me as your photographer guys! The two of you together were amazing! I hope you enjoy the rest of your honeymoon and seeing our beautiful country, South Africa.

Thanks to Kate from Wedding Concepts for organizing this fabulous location! You did an amazing job!

Wow, such incredible light! What amazing photos, you did this couple proud, as usual! One thing I was wondering, as I do quite often when looking through your images, who are the dressmakers/designers/florists/venues etc. that these couples use? Is there any way you could find that sort of thing out in future for us brides-to-be? It’s so interesting to know where the magic happens behind the scenes, and we can use the info for our own weddings!
Again, incredible photos, love your work, Christine!
