Our last stop on the trip was staying in the Magothlo lodge. Magotlho means camel thorn, which is a local tree. The lodge is build on a river bank, with a very big “stoep” (wooden deck) that overlooked the river.
This part of the trip was the “relax” part. Iaan and I went also went on our first night time game drive. We saw a porcupine, some elephants and a gorgeous owl. After the 6 days in a gorgeous paradise, we returned to the land of internet and fast life. I really hope I’d be able to make more trips like these in the future. What a privilege!
Thanks again to a great group of people from Mankwe lodge that organized this for us! And a special thanks to Llewelynn for giving us this opportunity!
The whole camp runs on solar power.

I really hope there are more parts to this post, I’m really enjoying it. I’ve never been but it looks amazing!
Great shots Christine. I love the giraffe and all the detail shots.
