My gorgeous friends Mel and Chris got married on the 27th of June. You might remember them form a previous post about their engagement shoot or the video I made with my 5DII earlier this year. Mel looked absolutely gorgeous and she was smiling the whole day! I one the other hand, have never cried so much at a wedding in my whole entire life! When I saw her in her dress with her perfect hair and smile I wanted to cry, but I was strong and proceeded to the church where Chris and the boys were waiting.
Chris entered the church with his mom and then it all began..there were tears flowing down my cheeks and I was just shooting. Hoping to get some in focus. Then Mel entered and at this stage I was probably shaking…but shooting. The only things that went through my head at that stage was “I hope at least one of these will be in focus!” But my heart was on another planet! (the results are a true miracle!) Everything was just so beautiful and emotional. Mel’s dad spoke to Chris for a few seconds before he gave her over and those shots are my ultimate favorite of the entire wedding! They just say so much!
I took some shots in an industrial area in Stellenbosch and then on our way to the reception, we passed a field of grass. The sun was setting directly opposite the mountains and it was just perfect lighting! What a gorgeous wedding!*

Wow, what a gorgeous bride! I love the veil shots (don’t I always), but the real killers are the ones of the groom crying while talking to the bride’s father. I don’t know what he was saying, but that is some beautiful emotion right there. Beautiful captures!

I just cried with Chris as I can just imagine what Mel’s dad said to him, but if the tears give me just a hint of an idea about how he feels about Mel, then he just convinced me that he truely loves her!!
