Ian & Liz have been living in the UK for quite some time now, but when it came to their big day there was no place like home! Liz and Ian met me a few months ago when they came over to plan their wedding day. With the help of wedding co-ordinator Michelle (form Allee Bleue) everything worked out perfectly. The wedding ceremony was held in a little stone church in Villiersdorp. The church looked brand new, but the minister explained to me that it has burned down 3 times before! They just rebuild it and was adding more to the building as they can afford it. The ceremony was opened by an African Choir and that african voice inside of me was touched. The choir was all the way form Guguleto a township close to Cape Town. The choir preforms at weddings and other events for charity. Loved it!

After the ceremony I had to rush back to the reception, which was an hour away form Villiersdorp. But as I drove I saw the amazing landscape around me and there was just no way I was going to let the opportunity slip me by! So I stopped on the side of the road and I waited for the bridal car to come by. After 10 min I got a bit worried, but then I saw them coming. I jumped into the road and waved vigorously! Liz just laughed at me and she said: “I knew you were going to stop us on this road!”

Well, at least she knew me LOL. And that is how I got these amazing landscape shots in a time span of 15min…The sun was quite bright, but luckily I had my 2 white umbrellas and it made such stunning pictures!

These babies belong to the flower girls. Just loved it. So girly!
