Lightroom Preset

As I mentioned in the post below I do get quite allot of emails where photographers ask me how I edit my images. I don’t see myself as a photographer that over edits my images. I only like to ad a bit of punch to them. When they come straight out of the camera the colour seem to be a bit dull and I like my images to have a touch of SUPER WHITE and some pitch black. I posted these images yesterday and I’d like to show you what a little of editing can do. And by the way, I do 99% of my editing in Adobe Lighroom. I hardly ever go to Photoshop. 1stly Photoshop takes to much time I think. To open each image and save it individually?? That would take up forever if I have to get through all my weddings…so I use Lightroom. (here and there I will use some actions in PS, but that is the for the odd occasion)In Lightroom you will find a very nifty feature which works similar to actions, which is called Pre-sets. You can buy some online or create your own. I created this pre-set that I often use to give a bit of punch to my images. It basically adds some brightness and some black, so your image will look more “punchy”. It also adds a slight vignette to the image. Remember is might not work on every image, so use it and then tweet it to your liking. It works very well on similar images as below:

I call this pre-set WOW. To add it to your library, go to the pre-set panel in the develop settings and then you can right click and you will see this pannel. Click on import and select the file.
