In general I prefer to work with very neutral spaces and I’m constantly on the lookout for a “blank canvas” where I can place the couple so that the focus of the shot are on them. I love the less is more approach and I’m not a fan of over cluttered and busy photos (just my personal preference)
For this shoot I used the field across the venue. The wind was blowing extremely bad on that day and I had to literally hold my camera with all my strength just to get in focus pictures :) But the wind gave great atmosphere to the photos!
Just as a tip, the photos were taken just before sunset and I placed the couple with faces towards the sun, to get that nice glow on their faces. Make sure the one is not in font of the other so that they create a shadow on the other one’s face. I also placed them with them facing into the wind direction, so that their hair blows backward and not all over their faces.
Hope you enjoy these…

Wow…STUNNING pics Christine!
oooooo eks mal oor die kleure van nommers 2, 3, 4en 5! (die prep – foto’s) lekker vars, sagte gevoel. :)
Ag, pragtig soos altyd. Hou van die een waar sy die blomme vashou
Gee whizz, you weren’t joking about the wind. I laughed at the one with the veil flying behind her. They are truely stunning!
Ek en Annelie (en die ander twee sussies deel van die drieling) was saam op skool. Die foto’s weerspieel wie die couple is en dis stunning! Well done!
These are the craziest beautiful pictures I’ve seen from you Christine! Keep em commin’
