I was privileged to second shoot with Jean-Pierre Uys in the end of last year. This was the first of two weddings I did with him so far. It was great fun! And great to shoot a wedding with another professional photographer. If I have more off time I would defiantly do this more often! It gave me such a different view on a wedding. For the first time there was no pressure on me to get the formal shots of the couple. I could focus on the “happenings” and the details of the day. It was quite liberating and lots of fun!
To those of you who are not familiar with the term “second shooter“, I found a article on WPJA (The Wedding Portrait and Photojournalism Association) that explains the role of a second shooter.
