Lucy has been trying to get me in wellington for quite some time now. She saw me at Simondium at the “Kamersvol Geskenke” exhibition last year. Every time we made a booking it was raining and finally we could get together last week. I have to say what a lovely couple!

Lucy was so excited for the shoot, it even excited me :) Their house was spectacular! It is an old farm house and they are renovating it as time goes by. What a pleasure to use for photographs! There were so many props to work with that I took about 900 images! I hardly ever take more than 250 and then  normally narrow it down to the best 60 – 80, but Lucy will have at least 150 – 200 stunning ones to choose from!

She also runs an framing business form her home, so I’m sure these photos are going all over the house :)

This one is my favourite family portrait I’ve ever taken so far…It just has so much character.

This little antique bench was so great!

Yup…she feeds her own chickens on their yard…so cute!

Wow, really some of your best family and kids portraiture. Well done Christine. Really love the pictures. The location and the props (like the chickens) makes the images fun.

Christene, you are obviously in touch with people and their emotions.Your photos are not just natural or posed shots, they have that extra wow factor, a little bit of substance, they actually tell a little story, very real and hands on… great. Also, with Mia as a model, I bet you all had bucket loads of fun!

Dit is absoluut freaking fantasties! Jissie Christine, well done met jou sukses as fotograaf.

Shoe, my asem was skoon weg.

    HI Christine,

Love jou natuurlike aanvoeling vir jou familie foto’s!

    Groete!

    Riana

To all: Wow! I’ve never had so many comments for one post before! This is a record! Thanks guys…It’s great to hear everyone’s feedback!

Riana: I hardly ever take my studio lights to shoots, only when I have to. I love to shoot with natural light. Prefer no flash, but here and there you have to…so with this indoor shoot I used my skyport with an off camera flash that my assistant bouched against a reflector. For outdoor I always choose shaded areas and there where there is no shade I bounce a bit of reflector. I hope this helps :)
