The web is so cool! I’m crazy about it! I love it and I can’t go without it! I redesigned my website some time ago. It was launched in the 1st week of May this year and every now and then I check my google analytics to see who actually visits my website and where do all the people come from. Google analytics is amazing! For those of you how doesn’t have it installed yet, have to get it.
I can see all of the following:
- how many people visits daily, weekly, in a specific time
- how many unique visitors
- which pages are mostly visited
- how many people have visited a specific blog post or gallery
- from which country the viewers are coming from and how many
- which platform they are using (eg safari, explorer, firefox etc)
- how long is the average time a person visits your site
- what is the average bounce rate (the average % of initial visitors to a site, who “bounce” away to a different site, rather than continue on to other pages within the same site)
- how many new visits
- Goals
- A well designed website which is functional, but also cleaver in-terms of easy update-ability (for photographers)
- A blog…more on this later…
- And google analytics!
